Nijo Castle, Kyoto

Nijo Castle (二条城) was built in 1603 as the Kyoto residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo Period.

Art Aquarium Castle is a special illumination held in Autumn 2021. Ticket reservation is required

The construction of Nijo was completed during the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1626. Now it is one of top tourist attractions in Kyoto. Easy to access and well-known for light-up (illumination). Sakura light up here was fantastic, while in Autumn, there is not much momiji trees, and therefore, they usually use tour exhibition.

Famous places nearby are Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (north) and Heian Shrine (east), accessible by bus. From Heian Shrine, you can pass several good temples to Kiyomizu.
There is also Imperial Palace, but not much to see there.

Nijo เป็นปราสาทที่สร้างสำหรับโตกุกาว่า อาเอยาสึ หลังขึ้นครองอำนาจ สร้างเสร็จในปี 1626 ปัจจุบันเป็นสถานที่เที่ยวอันดันต้นๆ ที่เดินทางไปง่าย ในเกียวโต เป็นหนึ่งในสถานที่ที่ดีที่สุด สำหรับดูการแสดงไฟการคืน (Light Up) มีชื่อเสียงสำหรับไฟกลางคืนช่วงซากุระ แต่ฤดูใบไม้ร่วงไม่ค่อยมีอะไร จึงใช้การแสดงไฟพิเศษ

สถานที่มีชื่อเสียงอื่นที่อยู่ใกล้ คือ ศาลเจ้า Kitano Tenmangu
และศาลเจ้า Heian ซึ่งต่อรถไปได้ (จาก Heian สามารถผ่านวัดที่มีชื่อเสียงต่างๆไปถึง Kiyomizu ได้)
มีพระราชวังอยู่ใกล้ๆ ซึ่งเดินถึงได้ แต่ไม่มีอะไรเป็นพิเศษ

Method 1: Take a bus from Kyoto station, in front of Kyoto Tower. Recommended if you are not familair with train system.

Method 2: Take railway from Kyoto Station to Nijojo-mae (In front of Nijo Castle).

Method 3: Take JR train to Nijo Station and walk. Train here operate longer than subway, you may need this if you miss the last train during way back.
